SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER - BRISTOL FOLK HOUSE
If there is such a thing as a British 'blues pedigree', thenDave Kelly sets the standard. He is a blues craftsman, a journeyman and one of the very best vocalists and slide guitarists this country has produced.
It was Dave's big sister, the late Jo-Ann Kelly, who in the 1960’s first opened his ears to the blues and in those early years he played with the best, including Muddy Waters, while Howlin' Wolf and John Lee Hooker, both felt the benefit of his playing in their touring bands.
Dave, however is probably best known for the thirty odd years he has spent with Paul Jones and The Blues Band, where his guitar and vocals form the very backbone of their distinctive sound......
